As the first woman to be elected and re-elected twice as Chair of the Liberty County Democratic Committee (LCDC) since the 1976 founding of the LCDC, I am honored to lead and represent the Democrats of Liberty County and, as a Vice Chair serving Democrats in Coastal Georgia, the 15 counties of the 1st Congressional District of the Democratic Party of Georgia (DPG), and the DPG. My commitment is to promote Democratic values, seek and encourage qualified candidates for public office, to support Democratic nominees, to perform election functions as required by law, to raise funds, encourage youth, young adult, and female engagement in politics, provide professional development opportunities, and empower our Members as they serve and pursue leadership in our organization. In addition, I pledge to use technology to maintain appropriate records and to advance and operate our Committee in an ethical, transparent reporting environment.

Accomplishments

  • Developed revenue growth strategy
  • Implemented new accounting and technology policies and procedures to improve and strengthen best practices
  • Created, developed, and implemented a five-year Strategic Plan in 2021 to ensure a roadmap for LCDC’s mission and vision
  • Raised the largest percentage of Net Operating Funds in organization history
  • Implemented the dues, donation, and event ticketing platform ActBlue to ensure accurate and secure financial reporting
  • Created, designed, and implemented the first website for LCDC
  • Created and implemented the first Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter social media accounts for LCDC
  • Researched and implemented an electronic voting and ballot platform to ensure secure, timely, and fair internal elections
  • Mandated Leadership training for officers and voter protection volunteers
  • Created the “An Evening Under the Oaks” annual fundraiser
  • Secured a seat on the DPG Technology Committee to help advance the usage of current technologies
  • Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert & Trainer in digital fluency, real estate technology, legal court proceedings, and real estate and financial seminars

Leadership

Her background is diverse and I have served in many leadership roles to include: Chairman of the Liberty County Public Facilities Authority, President of the Hinesville Board of REALTORS, CEO of The Butterfly Group LLC and W. Renea Camper REALTOR, CFO, CIO, CDO, Vice President, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, Board Member, Project Manager, 3ID Family Support Leader, and Office Manager. She has worked from the bottom rung of the ladder to the top, which makes her empathetic, experienced, and relatable to all citizens. Renea has been fortunate to develop policies, projects, programs, and strategies that have altered the course of politics, business, and education across the country.

20+ years of leadership, C-Suite, research and fundraising, and administrative experience put Renea in a unique position to leverage her expertise in business, education, political consulting, information systems, and volunteer management to keep the LCDC moving forward in its mission.

Education & Licenses

Renea Camper is a PhD student in Technology Management. She has earned a Master of Business Administration degree and is a Magna Cum Laude Graduate with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Computer Information Systems. She has been trained in and holds multiple Certificates in Accounting, Accounting for Government & Non-Profits, Certified Financial Officer, IA Doctorates, Cyber Security, Programming, Business Strategy, Leadership, Professional Ethics, Volunteer Management, Human Subjects Research, Dressmaking, and Fashion Design. Renea has held a Georgia Real Estate Salesperson’s License since 1996.

Cultural Experiences

Liberty County is a community that welcomes soldiers and families from around the world. Though she is from Baltimore City, Maryland, her roots lie in the fishing and farming region of the Northern Neck of Virginia, in Northumberland and Lancaster Counties, where her parents were born. Her more than 30 years of experience as a military spouse have enabled her to live in and learn about other cultures, both domestically and globally. Those experiences have helped her relate to individuals from different cultures, have been extremely rewarding, and have shaped the person she is today.
